Section 2 - The Private Security & Investigative Services Act, 2005 PSISA

Recently an OPP Inspector attended one of our sites and found two (2) uniformed employees NOT WEARING THE IDENTIFICATION TAG; your name badge.  What this means is both of the staff members are charged with an offence and subject to a fine of $250.00 and summoned to appear. Primary Response has also been summoned to appear and faces a $250.00 fine for each count.

$250.00 of your hard earned money (you are responsible for) is a lot to pay for ‘simply not wearing a name badge’, which you are issued, and in your possession but not wearing.

Whether you or I agree with this requirement is irrelevant - it is simply a fact of our position, and we must comply

What more can Primary Response do to prevent this from reoccurring?

  • We issue multiple name badges for convenience. NO PROBLEM! If you want more please visit our office;
  • We issue name badges with the licence number instead of name – by request at issue. NO PROBLEM! If you want more please visit our office;
  • We issue name badges with a combination of Name and licence number instead of name – by request at issue. NO PROBLEM! If you want more please visit our office;
We do want and encourage dialogue – is there something we are missing?
