Training Courses

Is spending a day or two going through a training course really going to make a difference? You bet it is. Nothing beats training! Training helps our employees better understand the information booklets and instruction in post orders that they are given and can encourage them to take a more positive influence within the organization. Training courses in particular can be a useful way for employees to learn factual information about their employment responsibilities and legal ramifications of their actions because it provides a substantial element of explanation and provides the opportunity for questions to be answered. In addition, training can allow guards to be promoted into better paying positions

The security industry has progressed greatly in the past 10 years, with a greater public expectation and focus on the activities of security professionals, even the Private Investigators and Security Guard Act has come under revision. One thing in particular that is new and mandatory now is training for ALL new Security Guards.

Primary Response does not think it should stop there, because it is vital to learn new skills about threat recognition, residential and commercial security, emergency planning, surveillance detection, defensive tactics and protective counter measures when you are a guard in a large company and could be deployed anywhere. Not restricted to just one type of security, employees need to be aware of the unique aspects of working in:
  • Commercial
  • Industrial
  • Retail
  • Mobile
  • Residential
  • Educational
  • Health Care / Hospital Facilities

To aid our employees in this ability Primary Response provides over 51 courses to its employee’s free of chargeEmployees are not paid for these programs as the company is absorbing the cost of each certification program. Each month a calendar is provided with the available courses for that month. Employees will book in to training based on their availability. Employees must show up for any program they book into and are not allowed to book off shifts to attend training programs.
